I've used a Stanley with the side handle daily for the last 2.5 years and couldn't imagine how this could be better, but a family member was persistent so I got the FreeSip Sway. The biggest selling points for me are the ability to close the top with no leaks, allowing it to sit next to me in a chair/couch/in bed and not spill, you can even lock it. Secondly, the ability sip out of the straw (or gulp) when sitting back in a chair or lying down, and not worry about it dumping out on your chest or leaking through the seal. Beyond that, the top handle on the Sway is great, slim enough to fit in cup holders, it's colorful, and a pleasant design. I'm only putting water in it, because cleaning seems like it would be challenging, but for water its the best.

I love my new water bottle! It is my second Owala. I'm really glad there is a larger water bottle that is cup holder friendly. I'll never go back to the smaller size!
